I am a self taught artist deeply influenced by my Aunt, Vibiana Aparicio-Chmaberlin; a painter, printer, printmaker, altarista and writer. I have always considered myself to be an artist and as a child and young adult, altered art and assemblage art was my first medium, but as I matured into life, watercolors took hold of me.

The feminine figure, the fragility of nature and love, shape my art. My vivid dreams, my vibrant imagination, love of my family, deep spirituality and sometimes painful reality mold every piece of art I create. I consider myself to be an expressionist artist in all forms.

The brilliant colors of nature and of humans coexisting in harmony in my art work, help me to express my own feelings of devotion and attachment to the earth.
